                                 ******************
The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.

Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home.

The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude... I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it.

And so it is with you... we are in charge of our attitudes.

    Maria
we just received your gift today for Katie. If she could type she would, but thank you! just in time for her bday, which is on Monday. the dress is so adorable. Katie is doing great. She is demanding sometime, like when she wants something she is clear to let us know, but she is still a great baby with a great personality. the boys still talk about you. their memory is great. we saw a woman with long black hair walking through the park this morning and Will said to me "that looks like Maria". Same old here. Hope you are doing well.
how are things with you? we are all well here. we just took the boys for their first real haircut- they cried and then they were excited. typical.
i also saw the note that you wrote in the book that you gave to katie- and i started crying when i read it. I don't know why- but it was very nice. thanks for taking great care of her. she would crawl into your arms if she saw you now. she loves crawling over to the people she recognizes and loves. she started to get shy of strangers though.
my mom told me that you sent her an email and that you are doing well. good luck with finding a new job that you like.
you can see the new pictures of our weekend in the snow at our website.
So many questions we have for you!!!!
    Love, Kelly and Rick
