Heather Skidmore and Christopher Howard

Heather Cooke Skidmore and Christopher Tenney Howard were married last night at Christ Church Cathedral in Houston. The Very Rev. Joe D. Reynolds, the dean of the cathedral, officiated, and the Rev. Paul D. Fromberg, also an Episcopal priest, participated in the ceremony.

Mrs. Howard, 36, is the director of operations at Wild Planet Toys, toymakers in San Francisco. She graduated from Washington College in Chestertown, Md.
She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Skidmore Jr. of Houston. Her father retired as an associate partner in Skidmore Owings & Merrill, the architectural and engineering firm, of which his father, Louis Skidmore, was a founder. The bride's father is now the vice president of Cooke & Skidmore Consulting in Houston. Her mother, Margaret C. Skidmore, is the associate director of fund-raising at the Museum of Fine Arts there.

Mr. Howard, 35, is a senior product manager for the travel unit of Yahoo! in Sunnyvale, Calif. He is a candidate for an M.B.A. in a joint program of Columbia and the University of California, Berkeley. The bridegroom graduated from Denison University and received a diploma in African studies from the University of Cape Town in South Africa.
He is a son of Joan T. Davidson and Edgar B. Howard III, both of New York, and a stepson of William A. Davidson and of Elizabeth W. Howard. The bridegroom's mother retired as the director of special events at the Museum of Modern Art. His father is the president of the Checkerboard Film Foundation, a nonprofit organization in New York that produces documentaries on American art.
